音乐喷泉是一种为了娱乐而创造出来的可以活动的喷泉，1930年德国发明家奥图皮士特先生首先带出喷泉的概念。它根据美学设计并且经常会产生3维的效果。这种效果是由于声波或光波或激光穿过水粒子而产生的。在此过程中，水流被操控，散射及折射光，然后一个3维的画面就产生了。现在大型广场的音乐喷泉成了标配，装扮着广场的环境和氛围。
